Description
The parish church was erected between 1840 and 1852 to replace an old church deemed too small. This neo-classical style building, built in rubble and basalt stones, consists of a three-vessel nave, a choir and sacristies. The choir is decorated with paintings representing scenes from the life of Saint-Benoît, produced between 1903 and 1908 by François Moirod, a priest and former pupil of Puvis de Chavannes. In 1860, a belfry was added to the right of the church, as well as a cast iron fountain on the square.
