The church was built in 1935 by the architect Jean-Louis Sourdeau. With the urbanization of suburban areas, a new church, twice as large as the old one, is built in the same place in this industrial district. The construction is made of reinforced concrete, including a concrete dome and fictitious pendants in hollow brick. The cement sculptures were carried out by Carlo Sarrabzolles.
