Description
The construction of the church could date from the end of the 12th century or the beginning of the 13th century. The walls of the nave were raised to create defenses above the vaults, probably during the hundred years wars. The church has undergone modifications and restorations in the 19th and 20th centuries. It illustrates well the buildings of the limousine limits of the Poitou-Charentes region and the continuity of romantic rural churches in the Gothic era.
