Description
The construction of the building was carried out in 1572 by Dominique du Bourg, who was adviser to the Kings Henri III and Henri IV. Although it was looted during the revolution, the hotel preserved part of its woodwork. The building includes a main body with a garden, to which a wing connects on rue Martineau, accompanied by a courtyard, as well as another wing dedicated to services, separating the courtyard from the garden. The section dating from the 16th century is made of large materials and is crowned with skylights. A door dating from the end of the 16th century provides access to this part. The other part is 18th century style: with arched lintels, small wooden windows and vertical crosspieces, curved doors and pediments, as well as 18th century skylights adorned with pediments. The main structure may be prior to its 18th century style drill. The interior retains two 18th century fireplaces, as well as a wrought iron ramp with scrolls, typical of the time of Louis XV.
