Description
This church was erected between 1840 and 1843 according to the plans of the architect Bertrand Le Pescheur, to a new location near the Trieux. It represents the creation of the parish of Pontrieux in 1801, resulting from the merger of two old truce. Its neoclassical style, typical of its time, is reflected both in its general design and in its decorative elements, both outside and inside. This harmonious building was enriched in the 20th century by two works which harmonize perfectly with the original architecture: a triptych painted in the choir by Simone Pillet in 1934, and a complete set of stained glass produced by Job Guével in 1946. The church also has a beautiful collection of protected movable objects, including a tribune organ created by Jean-Baptiste Claus in 1878.
