Saint-Gilles-Pligeaux : Saint-Laurent seigneurial chapel

This chapel, which dates from the beginning of the 16th century (with the inscription of 1531 on the southern portal), is built in apparatus granite and wears Gothic patterns. The plaster floor was raised thanks to the debris from the old Saint-Gilles church. The building is designed as a vessel, with a transept in the north. To the west, there is a door decorated with medieval decorations, and in the south, a door with an almost identical style. The bedside has three open sections with third -party arc windows. The west gable, where the bell is visible, is surmounted by a small stone bell tower decorated with flagships. The pinnacles on the foothills of the choir as well as the verticals which prolong the uprights of the outer doors are decorated in a similar way. The opening of openings are sculpted with foliage patterns and a cross -embellished cross. The interior is vaulted with wooden structures. The chapel underwent restorations in 1630 and 1902.
