Description

The abbey was founded around 680, was destroyed during the Hundred Years War and was restored between 1473 and 1501. Around 1630, a large brick and stone building was built, and French gardens were fitted out. The abbey was placed under the comer and was removed in 1751, resulting in the destruction of most buildings. In 1791, it was sold as a national property. Among the ancient buildings, there remains the Grand Logis, some other structures (such as a barn, a cellar, etc.), as well as the ruins of the abbey church. The old enclosure, with part of its medieval wall and two towers to the west, has been preserved, as was the 19th century English park, which includes a large hydraulic network.
