Description
The restoration of the old Saint-Paul-Aurélien cathedral took place between the 13th and 16th century on the vestiges, fairly well preserved in the transept and the attic, of a 12th century basilica. The western facade, strongly inspired by Norman architecture, was carried out at the beginning of the 13th century. Subsequently, we built the southern arrow and the west portal in the 14th century, as well as the north arrow and the vaults of the nave at the end of the 14th century, to finally build the choir in a pure Gothic style in the 15th century.
