Description
The crypt probably dates from the beginnings of Christianity. It is a cavity dug in stone, partially covered and partially exposed, rediscovered for the first time in the 17th century. This cavity was able to serve as a place of worship for Christians during periods of persecution. One of the walls shows rudimentary sculptures, which could represent Christ on the cross or a faithful in prayer. The crypt also contains an inscription "Cato in Ustes Fauit".
