Description
This simple lock presents facings dating from the 18th century. The downstream bridge, although affected by an extension of concrete, offers an interesting reorganization made by Urbain Maguès in 1838 or 1839. The environment around the lock is notable: - a barn with a portal dated 1750 - a set of buildings on the right bank, whose volume allows the configuration of the old structures of the "dine" of the "dine" 1700. - A group of buildings on the left bank used as a hostel and a chapel still in activity. - Upstream, we find the great Aqueduc-Pont de Vauban, built between 1688 and 1689 by Dominique Gillade.
