Description

In the 15th century, the village was a fortified city well placed along the Ariège and protected by a castle which was destroyed in the 17th century. During this period, the village knew the wars of religion. During the Revolution, the church received part of the furniture from the Boulbonne abbey, which was dismantled. It is a building with a single nave, and its four spans are separated by broken diaphragm arcs. The vaults are adorned with ivy and tircerons. There are side chapels, the oldest being located at the northwest corner. The five -sided choir is equipped with stalls and board of directory style. Two large flamboyant filler windows are decorated with stained glass representing the apostles. A large square tower supports the three -level octagonal bell tower. Outside, a round way overlooks the whole.
