In the 12th century, the Viscounts of Lautrec built a castle, around which the village developed. In 1355, bands of the Black Prince set fire to the fortifications, which were rebuilt in 1356. This small tower is only part of the old door of the fortified city, built in stones and surmounted by a small stone turret. It is one of the rare vestiges of medieval fortifications still present in Haute-Garonne.
