Description
Regarding Sainte-Dode, we know that a prefectural decree has enabled the Evangelist Pastor Edmond Huc to build a temple on October 25, 1899. The lintel of the southern door, which gives on the road, displays the date of 1900. No architect or masterpiece is identified. The temple was abandoned and given to the municipality in 1982. This transfer led to a dispute between a cult and cultural association linked to the temple, the central Evangelization society and the commune of Sainte-Dode, the association claiming the ownership of the temple and contesting the sale of the evangelization society. However, she lost her business at the Court of Cassation on March 23, 1988, which confirmed the ownership of the town.
