The lime factory in La Tour-sur-Orb represents a complete lime production system, typical of the second half of the 19th century. The ovens show all the stages of the sector, from extraction to sagging. The enormous size of all ovens is linked to the importance of rail work. This industrial complex is in a time of transition, where one goes from a still artisanal method to a more advanced technique, each oven being the reflection of a technological evolution.
