Description
The great Gâtinais, which would have been erected in the 17th century after Banéat, reflects the typical characteristics of the little Malouinières, with its austere two -span facade and two levels, embellished only by the highlighting of the central span. However, the dimensions of the triangular pediment, the high volume of the lateral wings and a certain rigor in the decoration suggest that it was built in a later time, in the 18th century. Thus, the great Gâtinais is a fine example of the continuity of the Malouinière model, which has inspired subsequent reproductions.
