Description

This house includes 15th century fortification characteristics. It has an L -shaped shape and consisted of a main building overlooking the street, a short perpendicular wing and a polygonal staircase at the corner. In 1550, the street facade was renovated, representing one of the most innovative achievements of French architecture around 1551. In the second half of the 17th century, several buildings were built around the interior courtyard: a residential wing to the south, a gallery at the bottom of the courtyard and a building serving as a discount to the north. At the southwest corner, there is one of the flanking towers of the city rampart, as well as the vestiges of the Old Chemin de Ronde.
