Description

Priory affiliated with Thiron Abbey, it was mentioned in 1119. In 1517, the priory was placed under the regime of the Commende. In 1715, he was integrated into the Jesuit college in Blois. In 1793, it was sold as a national property and became a private residence. Service and housing buildings are arranged on both sides of a rectangular courtyard, with the prior house located at the bottom of the courtyard. The chapel is adjacent to service buildings. A pigeonnier dating from the 17th century completes the site. The chapel, rectangular in shape, includes a wooden nave with a single vessel, extended by a rectilinear choir span and ending with a semi-circular apse, all being vaulted in a cul-de-four. It is decorated with a decor representing figurative scenes, decorative bands and a decor while covering. Figurative scenes illustrate a Marian cycle. This painted decor dates from the end of the 13th century.
