Description
The castle was certainly built between the 10th and 11th century. We find the first references to the castle from 1173 in a treaty on the delimitation of the regions of Lyonnais and Forez. It was the property of the Counts of Forez and became possession of the county after the death of Renaux du Forez. In 1521, Guillaume de Bron, lord of the league, bought him from Anne de Baujeau and his son -in -law, Duke Charles III. The family of the current owner, Mr. de Sorbier de Pougnadéresse, acquired the castle in the Count of Bron in 1680.
