Sully-sur-Loire : Saint-Germain Church

The church was probably started at the end of the 15th century and completed at the start of the 16th. The main facade is characterized by a gable, under which there is a fine 15th -style door which allows to enter the church. Just above, there is a flamboyant filling window, overlooked by a niche intended for a statue. The north wall has four acute gables as well as four central ward windows with a flamboyant filling. The bedside, which formerly owned a window now walled, has lost its filling. At the crossroads of the transept, stands a large rectangular bell tower, surmounted by a tower where two of the faces have four warhead berries and the other two. These berries are molded and their base is in the style of the 15th century. The walls are built in flint, separated by tile beds. Inside, the rib vaults include brick fillings, and the ribs are based on carved pants representing characters. The keystones of the first and third spans are hanging and have a composite marquee design typical of the Renaissance, while that of the second span has an older motif. The choir keeps a flamboyant -style swimming pool.
