Description
The rue Jeanne d'Arc is surrounded by houses which were almost all built during the same period, in accordance with a municipal decree which determined their general arrangement and their main dimensions. The cornices are all at the same height, just like the bands of the floors. Although each facade has a different architecture, they are all on the same scale. This decree aimed to enhance the cathedral.
