Description

Fortified site dating from the High Middle Ages, it was destroyed by the fights of 1918. It was entirely rebuilt between 1923 and 1928 by Henri Jacquelin, a Norman architect of Évreux (Eure), which designed the latest "Troubadour" style castle in Lorraine, a pastiche using a few vestiges of the 11th century. The project was funded by an American philanthropist, Miss Belle Skinner.
