Description
It is a modest chapel built in the last quarter of the 15th century, which underwent major modifications in the 16th and 17th centuries, especially in the nave and the sacristy. Originally, the nave was probably with a frame, but it is now decorated with a glasses cradle. The choir, which is covered with a semicircular cradle vault, had been decorated in 1490 by a set of wall paintings with detremp. This decor, which has been unchanged later, is awarded to Giovanni Canavesio, an active Piedmontese painter in the southern Alps at the end of the 15th century. The main subject of paintings is the passion of Christ, also with some images of saints.
