Teneur : Former presbytery

This presbytery, whose origins date back to the beginning of the 18th century, was partly restored (a third) and rebuilt in mud and wooden sides in 1840. From 1860, the widespread use of the brick in the construction of presbyteries rendered the current model. Thus, the presbyteries prior to this period are rare, and those built in cobs have disappeared. The house has a rectangular ground floor and has a robust appearance. The gable wall is made of flint and bricks. The roof is embellished, in the south, with three skylights covered with slates. Inside, the layout of the parts has been preserved. The restoration of this former abandoned presbytery, which has been undertaken by the owners since 1995, was carried out by fully respecting the structure and the original materials (such as the Torchis). Therefore, it is considered a model representative of a type of rural heritage building. It also maintains its original environment: the parish priest's garden, the church and the cemetery.
