Description
Former seigniorial residence of the 17th century, it was modified and developed in the 18th century by the architect Legay; It represents an example of follies built by the notables of Riom. A garden was created around her at the end of the 18th century, probably designed by the famous architect Attiret. Some changes took place in the 19th and early 20th century: around 1840, the roof was redone in the Mansart style, and a new gateway was added to the southern facade of the castle; Around 1910, a small building was added against the northern facade; And around 1930, the chapel ceiling was renovated. The decor of the chapel consists of staff panels and naive paintings that illustrate local art. The structures of the garden, such as the portal and the staircase, are decorated with ferronies characteristic of Auvergne art from the 18th century. The park also houses terracotta statues from the 18th century, of which there are very few copies.
