Description

The old church of the Couvent des Minimes, built in the 17th century in the classic style typical of religious architecture of this period, became a parish church after the revolution. Considered too small, it was enlarged in the 19th century thanks to additions made by the architect Teillard, who respected the style of the 17th century. The building includes a nave with four spans with side chapels, a protruding transept which supports the lane tower surmounted by a dome, and a semi-circular apse. The flat chevet includes, in the north, a secondary portico integrated into a right facade overlooking the street, and in the south, the sacristy. Inside, the composite capitals were sculpted by Gourgouillon, and the apse is decorated with the altarpiece of the Cordeliers church.
