Bouleternère : Saint-Sulpice Church

The whole is made up of two distinct structures whose axes intersect perpendicularly. The current church, built in the 17th century in a "Gothicating" style, is made up of three spans flanked by chapels located between the interior buttresses. The interior is covered with vaults in warheads with almost hanging keys. The facade has a gate with a curved pediment and broken in red marble, surmounted by a statue of the saint. The perpendicular structure is the old presbytery, which houses the old church, oriented regularly and with a raised and reinforced bell tower. This bell tower seems to have integrated elements from old fortifications. The building includes a main vaulted nave in broken cradle, separated from a narrower southern aisle by two large arcades. The vault was perforated to allow access to the stages of the bell tower and the passage of the clock weights. A large part of the platform with cut joists is still visible. The southern facade of the presbytery remains intact with a broken arc door, in marble, comprising leaves and hinges, probably dating from the 13th or 14th century.
