Description
Aside from the foundations of the ancient Roman baths, still visible underground, the current thermal baths date back to the end of the 18th century. The main building, initiated in 1776 by Victor-Amédée III and completed in 1783 under the supervision of Nicoli engineers from Robilant and Capellini, retains an ion style facade. Renovated in 1816, the establishment was enlarged between 1829 and 1832, as well as between 1854 and 1861, by the architect Jules Pellegrini. New buildings were made from 1930 to 1934 by the departmental architect Roger Pétriaux, with additional elevations carried out between 1966 and 1971. The decor of the 1930s entrance hall remained unchanged. The kneading building also houses two luxury cabins, decorated with mosaics in Art Deco style.
