The fortification extends over more than 12 hectares and is made up of a group of buried fortified elements which were to protect each other: the great casemates of Margut, Moiry, Sainte-Marie and Sapogne; The work of the Chesnois; Bloc I of the Ferté; and Bloc II of the Ferté. A network of barbed wire and anti-chairs surrounded the whole.
