Description

The 16th century church was erected on the foundations of a previous Romanesque church which underwent damage during the fights of the Albigensian crusade. The new church, constructed perpendicularly, has a five -sided bedside and a three elongated traveled nave, symmetrically surrounded by chapels located between the foothills, according to the Languedoc style. Large Moad windows and flamboyant replacements illuminate the choir. The gate, in a broken arch with a carved banner, is based on two consoles symbolically decorated with an angel and a demon. On the eardrum is the bust of a saint, probably from the Château de Combéfa. The octagonal bell tower has a defensive appearance, flanked by a small round tower with loopholes and resting on a base with a large protective glacis.
