Description
In 1659, the Benedictines began to build their church, probably according to François Delbène's plans. In 1660, a dormitory was built above the chapel. After 1674, a monastery was erected according to Delbène's conceptions. In 1698, the current ceiling, decorated with woodwork incorporating paintings, was installed. Carisiers Pierre Brunet and Charles Boisselin worked under the direction of Pierre Mignard. In 1712 Charles Boisselin was responsible for making the altarpiece. The convent is now a municipal school. All the iconography of the chapel is dedicated to Marie, with the exception of some paintings of the saints Simon and Jude, which are probably not of origin.
