Description
The original function of this square plan tower is currently difficult to identify, but it remains a key element of the city's medieval architecture. It is a civil construction with austere and imposing style that contrasts with the richness of its interior. Its design resembles that of the towers houses built by the aristocracy of urban chivalry until the middle of the 13th century, as shown by the quality of its construction, its height, its location by the street, its raised entrance and the absence of sculpted decor. In the 17th and 18th centuries, the tower was transformed into a inn and has become a popular place for prestigious guests.
