Description
The Bersac cure was founded in 1110 at the Aureil monastery by Eustorge, the bishop of Limoges. From then on, he became a priory-cure. Remains dating from the 12th century are visible in the current south side chapel. The nave was built in the 13th century, while the apse was completed in 1495. The northern chapel and the second span of the southern chapel date from the 16th century. The building includes a single nave of five spans, ending with a polygonal apse and flanked by two side chapels. The first span to the west supports the bell tower, and the apse is entirely covered with wall frescoes.
