Description
In 1874, the General Société Générale des Montres chemique acquired a match production plant. In 1900, the Directorate General of State Manufactures decided to completely renovate the site. The project is awarded to the engineer Guerquin. Other constructions will be added in 1914, 1937, 1956 and 1957. The factory closed its doors in 1962 and was taken over by the technical services of French documentation in 1967. This site remains the last vestige of the Paris region's match factories. The final chimney, not truncated, is surrounded by buildings with a metal structure with bricks of different colors.
