Description
After the 15th century, the Lands of the Monts constituted one of the six subsidiaries of the National Haras. Around 1850, buildings for breeding were built on the site of old barns. Organized in the shape of a U, with an open courtyard, there are stables, a stable and a fodder store around a granite house with a local slate roof. The breeding buildings in the north were completely renovated after 1880, while those in the south retain an original architecture. After the Second World War, this place became a center renowned for breeding the Limousine bovine race. This activity ceased in 2006 due to the reform of national stud farms.
