Description
In the 9th century, there was a Saint-Martial church near Corrèze, which was under the dependence of the knight Aymar de Tulle, then Archambaud de Comborn and Eble of Ventadour. In the 12th century, it passed under the control of the bishopric of Limoges, before being transferred in 1318 to the bishop of Tulle. Rectangular in shape, this church is made up of five spans. The double arches are heavy, and a section of walls adorned with modillions suggests that part of the Romanesque structure has been used, to which have been added crusaders of warheads whose prism veins seem to date from the 13th century. The windows display a romance style and the bedside is flat. In 1721, a flash struck the bell tower, the beheading, and the arrow was replaced by a Lanteron. The western door is decorated in a baroque style.
