Description
The Château de Beaumanoir, which was the center of one of the most important lordships in Quintin, was built in the 15th century and was enlarged later. Following several periods of abandonment, especially during the Revolution, property deteriorated. In 1895, the owners made the decision to restore it. The design of the new wing and outbuildings was carried out by Auguste Courcoux, an architect from Dinan, while the development of the park, of neo -Gothic style, was designed by the landscaper Charles Singlis. The whole was designed to guarantee the autonomy of the field and the comfort of its inhabitants (around 30 people at the time), respecting modern hygiene standards inspired by England.
