Description
The castle was built between 1530 and 1535 by Claude Le Roux, who was an advisor to the Parliament of Normandy and lord of the estate. It is a rectangular building made of bricks, surrounded by round towers. At the rear, it has a high tower with a belvedere housing a "Rihour" style staircase. The house is in the middle of an ovoid enclosure with a crenellated wall and small round towers with openings for fire. The half -timbered service buildings were enlarged around 1900. From 1897 to 1905, the restoration led by the architect Emile Janet modified the facades and the interior arrangement.
