Description
The church of Saint-Philbert sur Risle was offered to the abbey of the Bec-Hellouin in 1097. The parish and prioral churches form a complex whole, whose construction and the various renovation works extend from the 11th century to today. The enclosure is very well preserved and retains its walls dating from the 17th century, an 18th century dovecote, as well as its hydraulic system. The different archaeological excavations have revealed a significant potential, including the apse of the collegiate church, a conventual building and the Maison du Prieur. In the church, on the south wall of the nave, there are 14th and 15th centuries murals.
