Description
The Aramon tower, a small town located on a promontory on the banks of the Rhône and overlooked by its castle, is part of the urban enclosure. Built in the 12th century, it was probably reduced in the 13th century when Raymond VII of Toulouse ceded Languedoc - as well as Antamon - in Saint Louis. Subsequently, the tower was restored and enhanced, as clearly show the foundations of the upper part, which differ notably from those of the lower part. The whole, both outside and inside, has undergone many modifications due to the various occupants over time.
