Description
In the 16th century, the site was occupied by eight buildings. In 1593, all these buildings were united by Messire Christophe de Lestang, bishop of Lodève, who had the current hotel built. The facade overlooking the street presents a large 18th century portal, with an alternation of brick and stone forming bosses. Doric pilasters support an entablature with two consoles that correspond to the pilasters. In the center, there is a badge that was hammered during the Revolution. The whole is crowned with a pattern composed of a black marble plate with an inscription, supported by a firing lined with foliage and surmounted by a triangular pediment. In the square, you can see the 17th century facade, the windows of which have been modified to imitate alternate stone foundations, recalling the portal.
