Description
The castle and its annexes were built from 1893 in a Renaissance style, under the direction of the Bordeaux architect Louis Garros and his sons Jean and Alexandre. The sponsor, Bertrand-Marie-François, Baron de Lassus (1880-1909), chose this location for his view of the Pyrenees. The park, initially designed by the landscape architect Eugène Bühler, was modified between 1909 and 1919 by the landscape architect Edouard André. A chapel was built between 1903 and 1905, followed by a second library in 1910.
