Description
In the 18th century, thanks to the intendants, from Gascogne cities began to be equipped with oil lanterns to light up. These lanterns were installed on the walls. Two polygonal pillars in flat bricks are based on square bases. They are united by a wrought iron structure in the shape of a hug. The original lantern could go down to the ground using a rope rolled up in a rope box integrated in one of the two pillars.
