Description
The hospital was established in 1620 by Suzanne Dubois, a nun of the Order of Saint-Augustin. He was enlarged in 1629. The chapel was erected by the Duke of Epernon, in compensation for a reprehensible act for which he was responsible for the Archbishop of Bordeaux. In the 18th century, a large set of buildings was built to close the courtyard to the north, as well as two high pavilions which extended the chapel to the east and west. West of the courtyard is a 17th century building whose ground floor houses a large room which was initially served as a common room for the nuns.
