Description
A hotel of coins has been present at this place since at least the second half of the 16th century, but the main building overlooking rue de la Monnaie was rebuilt just before 1734. In 1772, the closure of the currency of Tours led to the sale of all the hotel buildings in Olivier Normand. In 1845, the Hôtel des Monnaies welcomed the School of the Brothers of Christian Doctrine as well as stores. It was renovated between 1976 and 1978.
