Description
The Cardinal de Richelieu decided to transform his native village into a city, for which the architect of the castle, Jacques Lemercier, designed the plans. This city is organized according to a regular plan, including moat, a surrounding wall, imposing doors, symmetrical streets and well -aligned houses.
