Description
In 1865, the commune of Uza obtained the status of parish, separating from that of bed and mix. Given that the old chapel of the village was no longer enough because of the number of workers at the Forge, the Marquis Romain-Bertrand de Lur-Saluces had, with the architect Louis Garros, this neogothic church between 1867 and 1869. The external forms were slender, dominated by the bell tower to the west and its arrow. The choir is surrounded by two chapels touching, which form absidioles in an original configuration. Inside, the architectural decoration evokes the 13th century, with paintings in the apse and the absidioles. The furniture comes from the same era as the construction.
