Description
A medieval building that was divided during the Renaissance and refurbished during the classical era. As a vestige of Romanesque architecture, at number 26, there is a column engaged on the first floor which extends to the second with a marquee decorated with leaves dating from the 12th century. House number 26 results from the split of an older building which included the number 24. The front door of 26 has a wrought iron juice in Louis XV style. The entrance to the 24 is also done by a curved door with key, which seems to come from the beginning of the 17th century. The number 26 has retained a magnificent interior decor of the 18th century, with a baluster staircase and a hall with large moldings. One of the rooms on the first floor is an excellent example of the decorative art of the 18th century Velay.
