Guérande : Milling mill

Construction dates from the end of the 15th or early 16th century, depending on the style of openings. According to legend, a miller named Yves Querbic, who lacked money to build his mill, would have called on the devil to help him. Once the mill is completed, the miller placed a holy statuette there which had the demon flee. The creative tower is a Breton style "little-step". His masonry in granite is of neat quality, with a ground floor that overflows. The cantilever supporting the floor is decorated with three large protruding moldings. One of the windows keeps the consoles of the winch and, in a niche in the shape of a hug, is the statuette of the Virgin and Child, that which undoubtedly frightened the devil. The roof, which has been restored, is covered with chestnut shingles: the motor shaft supports the two yards equipped with will receive the sails. In contrast, the guine and the brake pole are always present.
