Description
The castle, built in the 18th century on the bases of the old, is located on a platform surrounded by moat. It includes a garden, which is now mainly a vegetable garden, but which was initially used to serve as an ornamental garden. This green space is bordered by a ditch and a raised walk, and was embellished with an orangery and a greenhouse. Aside from a few modifications made in the 19th century, the Château du Feu preserved most of its 18th century arrangements, as evidenced by the wooden decorations and the wrought iron ramp of the main staircase. On the first floor, the building is distinguished by alcoves and chimneys sporting the coat of arms of the Corbière family, owner since the 17th century.
