Description
A granite set composed of elements from different periods. Construction and the base date from 1827. A sculpture illustrating various moments of passion, which serves as the basis for the cross barrel, is placed directly on the altar. This is the reuse of a Renaissance style piece (16th or 17th century), which suggests that an older ordeal had to exist. On each side of the barrel, there are statues of the Virgin and Saint-Jean, which are more recent. The barrel is decorated with the faces of the twelve apostles in high relief. Above the cross is the eternal Father, carrying the dove of the Holy Spirit on his chest, surrounded by two cherubs. The eternal Father overlooks the crucifixion of Christ.
